The USGBC has announced that the LEED 2009 rating system will be open for registration until October 31, 2016 (extended from June, 2015), to allow product manufacturers to release full material and environmental product declarations.

This means projects may be registered under either the 2009 or v4 rating systems for the next two years. We have found some projects may score higher under the new rating systems and we recommend filling out both the 2009 and v4 scorecards for each project.

See our previous blog posts about LEED v4 here and here, or feel free to contact us with any questions you have about the new rating system.
