Shane brings a Master’s in Education and 11 years of electrical design, a combination that gives him an unusual perspective that reflects in his work. Shane has always had a knack for hands-on building and science, starting with freeform play with Lego bricks and building forts when he was young, progressing to success in shop and tech classes in school.

In 2011 he married his wife Emily, and they have 3 children, Jack, Penelope, and Marlee Marie. They enjoy outdoor pursuits including biking, swimming, and exploring anywhere and everywhere in the Pacific Northwest.

Shane joined FSi because of our company culture and our emphasis on building relationships with our clients. He also values our drive toward sustainability in our designs. He has enjoyed mentoring less experienced engineers and watching them grow into project management roles and looks forward to doing the same at FSi. He is currently focusing on projects for the Washington State Department of Transportation and several departments at King County.
