Jamie Inouye came to FSi with a background in both mechanical engineering and communications, making him a perfect fit for FSi’s culture of technical excellence and clear communication.
Jamie has always been a problem-solver and takes particular pleasure in collaborating with a team on a shared goal. He is excited about the wide range of ways engineering skills can be applied, and enjoys the challenge of developing practical and functional solutions that also save energy. His favorite projects combine teamwork, problem-solving, elegant solutions, and a positive impact on the community, like a pediatric surgery suite he worked on for Seattle Children’s.
When asked about FSi’s culture, Jamie says, “FSi takes care of people. We are employee-first in a way that’s rare. There’s an atmosphere where good and hard work is expected, and people are treated well, projects are run well, and the company supports its engineers.”
Outside of work, Jamie is a big fan of all Seattle sports teams, especially the Sounders. His non-work life revolves around his son, which means for now his hobbies have changed from backpacking and playing sports himself, to playing with trains and dolls, throwing things, and generally being goofy.
