Project Assistant in Engineering (Seattle, WA) (Hybrid Work Model)

FSi Engineers is seeking a full-time Project Assistant with 1-5 years of experience, preferably in the architecture, engineering, and construction industries. The position will work with the Senior Project Coordinator and Project Managers to assist with organization, project completions and submissions, client relations, proofreading, and editing.

Salary

$24.00 – $30.00 per hour

Qualifications

  • 1-5 years of experience in project coordination with experience in the AEC (architecture, engineering, construction) industry strongly preferred
  • Power user of Word, Excel, and Acrobat Professional
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam, Deltek VantagePoint, MS Project, Smartsheet, SpecLink, or other specification software a plus
  • Experience with technical editing and document production with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as working efficiently in a team setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must
  • Project Management certification a plus

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Technical editing and document production with strong attention to details
  • Understand the deliverable in terms of each project, client need, and what is scoped
  • Must be available during work hours to meet tight deadlines and be prepared to address last minute modifications
  • Proofread and edit documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and format
  • Determine consistency and clarity of style within technical reports
  • Editing and/or rewriting of technical reports and documents for approval of author
  • Combine and track edits from multiple authors and maintain a proper version of control of documents
  • Interacting with technical staff to clarify reports, meaning, format, and style of work
  • Coordinate with engineering team to ensure accurate completion of projects
  • Consistently produce results that meet expectations
  • Must have strong organizational skills
