Yavapai College Teaching Winery
Yavapai College, Prescott, Arizona
FSi was the mechanical engineer for Arizona’s first teaching winery, at Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona. The new facility is used by the Yavapai College enology and viticulture program. It has a 3,000 case capacity, and includes processing areas, barrel storage, and a tasting room.
The project began with a design study to examine wastewater reuse development, energy generation conceptual planning, and tie-in to the college’s campus-wide cooling and heating systems. The design included offset of all water and energy use with rainwater harvest and solar photovoltaic cells.
