McChord Air Force Base Building 852

FSi provided the design for the removal of three existing halon systems and the addition of 55,000 s.f. of preaction system sprinkler coverage in Building 852, a three-story building at McChord Air Force Base.

The design involved coordination of special phasing of the halon removal and new system installation in a limited access, high tech area to eliminate any downtime of computers for air traffic monitoring critical to entire West Coast operations. The project is part of an indefinite quantity contract with an architectural firm.
